This "Certificate IV in Business Development " real estate education training program is for those employees working a real estate team environment where they have the responsibility for selling real estate products and services directly to clients, and are looking to increase their skill capacity and recognition by participating in a nationally accredited course.

The 12 habits of success in real estate is a real estate education program that has been designed by industry expert Geoff Buck and provides a framework for developing outstanding service.

Geoff Buck, a licensed estate agent and educator to the real estate profession and to the public, established the Real Estate Education Company Pty Ltd in 1989.

Geoff has been in Real Estate for over 30 years as a licensed agent , authorised real estate trainer and course writer for Swinburne University, RMIT and the Real Estate Institutes. He has had many articles published, written training programs including The 12 Habits of Success in Real Estate. Recently he co-authored the best selling book 'Under the Hammer '.

National Apprenticeship and Traineeship Program

New Apprenticeships provide real benefits by producing a more productive worker familiar with the needs of business and trained for a specific industry. New Apprenticeships is a term that covers all apprenticeships and traineeships.

Benefits of training

Research has found that training provides a positive return on investment and helps businesses in the areas of:

  • Productivity
  • Savings on materials and capital costs
  • Worker motivation
  • Improved quality and service
  • Staff retention. In the past, apprenticeships focused on traditional trades and training took at least three years to complete.

Traineeships, by comparison, covered a much wider range of occupations but the training was shorter, lasting between one and two years.

In order to target training to your specific business needs, there are numerous types of New Apprenticeships that can be implemented.

Existing staff may enter a New Apprenticeship. An existing worker is deemed as an employee who has been with your business for up to three months full-time..

This gives you the opportunity to upgrade the skills of existing employees who you know and trust with the further benefits of:

  • Being eligible for Commonwealth funding
  • A shorter training period due to recognition of previously acquired training, skills and on-the-job experience resulting in cost-effective, targeted training for your business.

All training is conducted on the job,and/or during branch meetings and briefings.

Participants who successfully complete the assessment activities are eligible for a nationally recognised qualification, "BSB 40501Certificate CAT IV in Business Development ".

Each of the "12 Habits " comes with a "Practise with a Purpose " -Participants Guide.

Each guide is constructed to assist the participant to put into practice the learning and understanding they compile for each habit on a day to day basis.

  • Practice Sessions and/or Activities
